GCNP Sustainability Awards 2026

As Global Compact Network Pakistan marks two decades of driving corporate sustainability, we are bringing back the Sustainability Awards. Since 2012, we have continued the tradition of recognizing companies for their best practices in advancing sustainability.

The GCNP Sustainability Awards are a national recognition platform that honours companies operating in Pakistan whose strategies, operations, and impact initiatives demonstrate measurable progress against the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the 17 SDGs, aligning local business actions with the global Forward Faster initiative. The Awards spotlight the innovation and leadership that Pakistani companies bring to the global sustainability agenda.

GCNP Sustainability Awards 2026 will be held on 1st October in Karachi, to coincide with World Sustainability Day, positioning the ceremony as Pakistan’s business contribution to the global observance. Given the occasion, the event will place a special focus on climate change and environmental action, reflecting Pakistan’s position as one of the countries most vulnerable to climate change globally. The country’s average temperature is rising faster than the global rate, and per capita water availability has fallen sharply over the decades to just 930 cubic metres today, well below the internationally recognised water scarcity threshold. This makes climate resilience an increasingly urgent priority for businesses operating in Pakistan. In keeping with this milestone and the UNGC’s global call to action, the Awards will carry the theme “Accelerating Sustainable Impact in Pakistan with Forward Faster”, tying every award category back to the UNGC principles and Forward Faster Initiative.

The ceremony is set to bring together a diverse and influential group of attendees, united by a shared commitment to advancing sustainability in Pakistan: Corporates, Sustainability Professionals, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Government, Civil Society, and Academic leaders.

A recurring theme in the Global Compact Network Pakistan's work is that integrity, transparency and responsible conduct are what make any market trustworthy over the long term, and that logic extends just as naturally to the fast-growing world of digital finance as it does to conventional corporate governance. As blockchain-based services reach more countries, the same principles become relevant for Hungarian players weighing where to place cryptocurrency stakes, where clear rules, fair play and security matter every bit as much as they do in the business world. A practical, sober introduction to the basics and the risks can be found in the Hungarian-language guide on Ethereum betting , which encourages an informed and cautious approach rather than unrealistic expectations.
