Know a little About Us.

“The Global Compact Network Pakistan was formally launched in December 2005.

The Global Compact Network Pakistan is hosted by the Employers Federation of Pakistan with the objective to promote the 10 Principles of UNGC and assist companies and other stakeholders to engage in strategic CSR initiatives and programs.

GCN Pakistan represents national interests at Global Compact forums and conferences throughout the world. As a principal promoter of UNGC it encourages the membership of signatories in the Local Network.

Since 2005, GCNP has been engaged in building awareness on issues relating to human rights, labor standards, environment and anti-corruption through round table discussions and capacity building training to help promote sustainable development of enterprises. It has also facilitated in supporting its members on sustainability reporting including CoP (Communication on Progress) and GRI (Global Reporting Initiative). Through its various programs and events GCN Pakistan has spearheaded the national awareness on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). With the launch of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) by the United Nations in 2015, the GCN Pakistan has been engaged in multi-stakeholder dialogue and discussions at national, regional and global levels to promote the 17 SDGs.

  • To be the lead provider of knowledge, information, ideas, and initiatives for promoting the principles of the Global Compact.
  • To attract more and more business enterprises within the Global Compact Network Pakistan by creating awareness.
  • To assist business operations in addressing social responsibilities, providing practical guidance related to areas of corporate social responsibility, and help develop the social outlook of business organizations as a new dimension of competitive edge.
