Global Compact Network Pakistan

Local Network of the United Nations Global Compact

The Global Compact Network Pakistan (GCNP) was formally launched in December 2005. GCNP is the official country network representing the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. As the leading advocate for business sustainability, GCNP extends UNGC’s mission to promote its ten principles on Human Rights, Labor, Environment, and Anti-Corruption. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Forward Faster initiative, GCNP brings together business and non-business organizations to share ideas and best practices in sustainability and encourages companies to integrate these principles into their daily operations.

Our Mission

Shaping and empowering business to be competitive in the global market through sustainable value creation.

Our Vision

Being a transformer: Changing non-sustainable into sustainable business practices.

Being an incubator: Character building, nurturing and producing more sustainable businesses.

Our Ambition

Our Ambition is to: Accelerate and scale the global collective impact of business by upholding the UNGC’s Ten Principles and delivering the SDGs through accountable companies and ecosystems that enable change.

To make this happen, the UN Global Compact supports companies to:

  1. Do business responsibly by aligning their strategies and operations with Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption; and
  2. Take strategic actions to advance broader societal goals, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation.
