Global Compact Network Pakistan in collaboration with the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan organized a National Conference on Business & Human Rights under the theme “Business and Human Rights as an inevitable agenda for Business Sustainability” on 10th February 2023.

Ms. Nilofar Bakhtiar, Chairperson National Commission on the Status of Women and Mr. Jawed Sibghatullah Mahar, Secretary Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour of the Conference.

We invited prominent human rights champion organizations and a panel of experts to share their experiences and showcase their best practices and initiatives in promoting the principles of Business and Human Rights.

UN Global Compact Network Pakistan (UN GCNP) organized Business Talk SDGs Meeting on elevating ambition for greater collective action on the sustainable development goals which was hosted by Artistic Milliners in their organization.
Entrepreneurs, stakeholders and representatives from various peer organizations came together to learn about SDGs, their targets and how they can embed them in their normal business practices to achieve the Global 2030 Agenda.
The agenda of the meeting was focused on shaping and empowering businesses to be competitive in a global market.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 (𝟮𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮): UN Global Compact Network Pakistan in collaboration with K-Electric hosted the Business Talk SDGs Meeting where KE shared its journey on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, the company’s energy aspirations and the roadmap for sustainability with industry experts.

The meeting brought together entrepreneurs, stakeholders and representatives from peer organizations to learn about SDGs, their targets and how they can embed them in their normal business practices to achieve the Global 2030 Agenda. The meeting agenda was focused on shaping and empowering businesses to be competitive in a global market.

UN GCNP has been mobilizing private sector entities to support governments in achieving the SDG targets. However, it will require the collective actions of participating organizations and stakeholders in the country to create the world we want.

Global Compact Network Pakistan organized a webinar on SDG 13 “Climate Action” to strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and integrate climate change measures through individual initiatives and corporate strategic plans. During the webinar, the speakers explained the initiatives taken on an individual, collective and organizational basis to deal with the impact of climate change on the environment and quality of life. They also emphasized that not only enterprises but individuals and communities can collectively act to build resilience against the challenges of climate change.
